it does not get any more glamorous that snake print, metallic gold pants.yes, i own these.
yes, they are in my closet.
yes, i have worn them, although not for a while... a long while.
and the painted toes, well, they add a touch of glam, too.

By dessert my apartment was so hot that the kiddies were running around in their diapers, drinking coffee out of the fancy cups and eating lots of the good stuff, the whipped cream.

Maggie looked for sucker after sucker to take her to see the "neigh, neigh". She'd walk over to you and melt you with her eyes, saying "neigh, neigh" until you agreed to take her down to see the horses. then you'd walk her back and forth between the two. She'd let one lick her and she'd giggle, and then be ready to move on to the other... and by the time you got back upstairs, she'd be looking for another sucker of a grown-up to take her back down.
Its been wonderful to have the whole family here for so long that we can really enjoy each other and feel like we're on vacation. I'm not quite ready for it to end...

feeling glamorous in an old felt hat from a flea market that i just adore. it brings me a glimpse of glamorous times every time i put it on.

Dad had arrived, after a six and a half hour delay on Thursday... and its great to have him visit. He spent Friday running errands with Todd while I was at work, and by the time I got home both boys were all tired out. We had dinner in and were all in bed about 8 p.m.

And of course, this is not sky, but I am always up for photos of random objects. :-)

Oh, how i love fog. it doesn't close a whole day, like snow does, but we have had our share of fog delays already this year... today included. i was already up, yoga-ed, showered, dressed and drinking my coffee before i got the call, but it was still glorious to have a restful morning, finish up some work, take a walk with the camera before my photography class tonight, and just be mellow. now i am off to said class and to making up te guest room for dad's arrival tomorrow. i can't wait!
it was a long drive, but well worth the trip.
now the week ahead will be filled with guest prearation. dad arrives on thursday to begin the thanksgiving festivities and we will have the week-end with him before the rest of the family arrives on monday. we have a new guest bed arriving on wednesday, new curtains to hang and beds to make... floors to clean and grocery shopping to do. i love the bustle of preparations and can't wait to have everyone here.
