right now it is pouring rain out our windows,
soaking us
and brightening the sky
as we enjoy our after dinner mellow and look forward to ai.
i had an allergist appointment yesterday and although the morning was full of needles, it brought me some answers,
and then the afternoon brought sunny streets and walks with my husband
to a water-side lunch and ice cream in the park.
it was a romantically relaxing day,
and i am officially ready for summer days to begin.
15 days of school to go.
no full weeks lefts.
the countdown is on.
the morning air, as i wait for easton to take care of his morning business,
is weighted with a cacophony of birds songs, happy for spring.
the pond is full of goslings, swimming about, avoiding our beasts.
the night air has been full.
heavy with hopes for summer walks by moonlight and kisses in the long grass.
our gardens are beginning to bloom and the vegetable garden is getting staked out now.
40x40 of our own veggies.
i can hardly wait for the tomato and basil salads and sandwiches
and hot peppers
and cucumbers
and squash into the fall.
i heart june, july, and august.
